History

Rayo Cantabria was founded originally in 1926, going on to play almost exclusively in the fourth division - had one season in the third.

For several seasons, the club acted as Racing de Santander's reserve team. After the latter was renamed Racing B, Rayo was re-founded, in 1993, never making it past level four.
