Sociedad Deportiva Rayo Cantabria is a Spanish football team based in Santander, in the autonomous community of Cantabria. Founded in 1993, it currently plays in Tercera División - Group 3. The club's home ground is San Juan de Monte, which has a capacity of 1,000 spectators.
History
Rayo Cantabria was founded originally in 1926, going on to play almost exclusively in the fourth division - had one season in the third.
For several seasons, the club acted as Racing de Santander's reserve team. After the latter was renamed Racing B, Rayo was re-founded, in 1993, never making it past level four.
